Ahu Antmen, Sabancı Üniversitesi Sanat ve Sosyal Bilimler Fakültesi’nde modern ve çağdaş sanat profesörüdür. Araştırmaları, 20. yüzyıl Türk sanatında modernite, kimlik ve cinsiyet konularına dayanmaktadır. Öğretmenliğinin yanı sıra Cumhuriyet ve Radikal gazetelerinde sanat eleştirmeni olarak çalıştı.

Küreselleşen İzlenimcilik: Alım, Çeviri ve Ulusötecilik (Yale Üniversitesi Basını, 2020) “20. Yüzyıl Batı Sanatında Akımlar”, “Kimlikli Bedenler-Sanat, Kimlik, Cinsiyet; “Zamanların Belleği: Ali Teoman Germaner”, “İçerdeki Yabancı: Hale Tenger” ve editörlüğünü yaptığı “Sanat/Cinsiyet-Sanat Tarihi” ve “Feminist Eleştiri” kitaplarının yanı sıra “Curatorial Challenges-Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Contemporary Curating” (2019, Routledge), “Artists in Their Time” (Istanbul Modern, 2015), “Unleashed-Contemporary Art from Turkey” (2010, Thames and Hudson) ve “Beyond Imagined Uniqueness-Nationalisms in Contemporary Perspective” (2010, Cambridge Scholars Publishing) gibi yayınlara katkıda bulundu. 

Küratörlük çalışmaları arasında “Nur Koçak-Mutluluk Resimlerimiz” (2019, SALT), “Üryan, Çıplak, Nü: Türk Resminde Bir Modernleşme Öyküsü” (2015, Pera Müzesi), “İkinci Göz: Türkiye’den Kadın Fotoğrafçılar” (2013, Sismanoglio Megaro), “Bir Ülke Değişirken-Tanzimattan Cumhuriyete Türk Resmi” (2012, S.Ü. Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi), “Joseph Beuys ve Öğrencileri” (2009, S.Ü. Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi) sergileri bulunmaktadır.

She has contributed to various publications,  including Globalizing Impressionism: Reception, Translation, and Transnationalism (Yale University Press, 2020), Curatorial Challenges-Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Contemporary Curating (Routledge, 2019), Artists in their Time (2015), Unleashed-Contemporary Art from Turkey (2010, Thames and Hudson) and Beyond Imagined Uniqueness-Nationalisms in Contemporary Perspective (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2010). Her curatorial work includes Nur Koçak-Our Blissful Souveniers at Salt, Istanbul (2019), Bare, Naked, Nude-A Story of Modernity in Turkish Painting at the Pera Museum (2015), Second Eye-Women Photographers from Turkey at Sismanoglio Megaro (2013), Turkish Painting from the Ottoman Reform Era to the Republic(2012) and “Joseph Beuys and His Students” (2009, Sabancı Museum).
